Take a break from the hustle and bustle of your holiday - stroll around the wide variety of shops in Rhyl's indoor White Rose Centre or Prestatyn's main street where famous named stores are found amidst smaller locally owned businesses.

Admire the profusion of colour at the award winning Botanical Gardens in Rhyl or Coronation Gardens in Prestatyn.

Colour is everywhere as carnivals take to the streets in all parts of the coastal area - floats, jazz bands, Morris Dancing and marching bands all add to that holiday experience.

Rhyl and Prestatyn are ideal touring bases in which to visit many attractions and places of scenic beauty within North Wales.

Only three miles inland is the historic village of Rhuddlan and its castle, the stately home of Bodrhyddan Hall, Dyserth Waterfalls, Bodelwyddan Castle, an outpost of the National Portrait Gallery, whilst further afield is St Asaph Cathedral and the towns of Denbigh and Ruthin, where Ruthin Craft Centre hosts a changing exhibition programme of internationally recognised artists and crafts people, together with many working craft studios.

Travel the Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen - the home of the International Music Eisteddfod which is held in July each year. Visit a motor museum and the Llangollen Steam Railway or travel on a barge or boat on the Llangollen Canal.
